CCG Bios: Andrew L. Youngquist Construction Inc. was the successor to the 60-year-old Birtcher Real-Estate Group construction services division. Since its formation the Company has constructed over 12,000 residences, 17 million square feet of industrial properties, high rise office towers, business parks, senior retirement communities, hotels and large-scale specialty projects. Specialty projects are compromised of baseball stadiums, research & development facilities, aircraft hangers and infrastructure projects. Notable projects include the 1,175,000 square foot Pacific Design Center, 528,000 square foot Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Mart and corporate facilities for a host of fortune 500 companies. Andrew L. Youngquist Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Mr. Youngquist joined the Birtcher Real Estate Group in 1979 as a Project Manager and was later promoted to Vice President of Construction responsible for overseeing all construction operations. In 1988 he was named President of Birtcher Construction with direct responsibilities for all facets of the Construction Company. During his tenure with the Birtcher Real Estate Group he sat as a member on the board of Directors & oversaw the construction of over 30,000,000 square feet if commercial and industrial assets, hotels, retail facilities, a tenant improvement division and major specialty projects. Mr. Youngquist is credited with expanding the company across the continental United States, Hawaii, Mexico and the Far East. He additionally was directly responsible for the creation of the Construction Management program for the theater industry that resulted in the construction of over 170,000 new seats in 4.7 million square feet of space and pioneering the stadium-seating concept. Mr. Youngquist is a board member of Associated General Contractors, Board Member of Orange County Together Community Relations, Board Member of Sun Valley Forum on the Orange County Board of Directors Council of Girls Scouts and County of Orange Member of Society of Professional Estimators, Board Member of Seniors' Housing Council.
